Status Updates From The Tenant of Wildfell Hall

The first time I read this book, I was solely interested in the plot, but on this re-read, so many themes jump out at me. Temperance. Women's roles when it comes to family and men, and the scandal of breaking out of those traditional roles. Especially interesting that it was written in 1848 about a time two decades prior.
