Status Updates From The Collected Novels Volume...

I finished Vol. I & am almost finished with Vol. II with a not-so-great taste in my mouth. The stories are WONDERFUL; the characters are quite ENGAGING; the level of detail (color of sky, color of linoleum floor, smell of a bowl of soup, the heat, the cold, the humidity, etc.) will drag you in and put you THERE.

Buuuut... it was like sometimes we were raced along, and other times the story ended *very* abruptly.
