I absolutely devoured book1 and so far I am doing the same with book 2 I really want to smack the hell out of Prince Brion though lol

Soooooo lemme get this straight.

Three or so chapters ago, Brion got sloshed bc he "just found out his destiny" or some shit.

And then snaps about how he doesn't believe in prophecies about lives.

He implies he JUST found out about this prophecy, but also noted that he's known about it?? And if he didn't care for or believe in them, why get drunk??

And now he's back to believing prophecies 3 chapters later...

I mean it when I say it seems like Lissa is just along for the ride here. Her entire existence in the book has devolved to being a pretty hostage everyone seems to want to bed, and honestly I'm sick of it..

This girl is getting bullied by the plot.

No, really. Like, there's a lot going on very quickly. What bothers me, too, is a particular interaction where she basically said she didn't trust one guy, and then just two chapters later she suddenly trusts him-- not even half a day has passed since that argument.

It's like events are happening, and she's just literally there for the ride.

It's giving trope soup.

But sort of in a McDonald's way-- I know it lowkey bad but I also can't stop.

Tbh I'm surprised she didn't get her ass beat sooner.
