I read the first story in this folk horror anthology last night. It was by Catriona Ward and was quite good. I'm optimistic for the rest of the collection, which also features stories by Andrew Michael Hurley and Ramsey Campbell, two favorite authors of mine.

So far there are a couple of stand-out disturbing stories, and a clutch of casually menacing "urban legend" types. All done with verve and precision, and immaculately presented.
