Ch9. This is messed up. The poor kid doesn’t deserve this. I hope after the initial grief wears off that he doesn’t go along with this plan. He should just confess and let his brother and father rot in jail. And where are the police? If he was bleeding so much, I find it hard to believe that they didn’t see the blood or the deployed airbag on the passenger side indicating that someone was sitting there.

Ch5. Not one single person at that hospital noticed the signs of continued abuse?! His father’s been beating him with a riding crop for years and at least that should leave marks on his back. Look I grew up sheltered and surrounded by good people so this kind of thing is hard for me to fathom. But domestic abuse is the reality for so many children and partners isn’t it? Eff a system that doesn’t protect them.

Pls tell these characters did not go through another trauma

This will be a good book. But I’m having a hard time with my triggers(on page detail description of the abuse of a minor).
