This is dragging for me. I’m used to McDevitt’s pacing, set pieces, etc, but I keep putting this one down. I’ll finish it eventually.

Another great read although I felt the ending with the omega cloud was rushed and unbelievable.

The stupidity of science space travelers taking chances with their lives and the lives of others is unbelievable.

One of the things I like about Jack's books is that the people are real, the dialogue real. Some might say these are slow, maybe even boring but they are not fantasy in the sense of being wild and crazy but rather an exploration of people and what motivates them.
