Such is my dedication to fair play, I went back and read chapters 3 & 4 (read without me), to as to be able to say I honestly read the whole book (counting towards a reading challenge).
Turns out, it was almost pointless: so little happens in these wretched books that you probably could skip several consecutive chapters and still not miss out on anything crucial...
