This might be a perfect book. The author is on an incredible adventure by rowing and hiking to the Arctic. She’s a nature and bird lover, and the special sauce is she talks about food a lot. I enjoy how she details what they eat along the way, how they back it, their nutritional needs, food mishaps and the like. Nature, birds and food….I can get on board with this.

So far, while I can appreciate the raw and intense emotions she displays during this adventure, I can’t help but feel a little…overwhelmed by the consistency of regret she seems to feel for ever doing this trip. I understand it’s a huge feat, something that I will never do and could never truly experience as she has, but I just wish there was more “awe and wonder” and less miserable recounts.
