Ack, Lizzy and Wickham are friends

Oh no. Lizzy is a year older and has a case of the ‘nothing bad can happen to me’ blues. After a near disaster walking in London a year ago, she can’t wait to walk in London again. I would mock her and the writer except I remember hitchhiking to the Monterey Pop Festival when I was 15 while my parents thought was at a weekend sleepover with two friends.

And poor Darcy. How in the world does he know how to raise Georgiana? If my parents had died when my older brother was 23, just out of college, would he have any idea what to do with an eleven year old me and a six year old brothers? No phones in Regency time. No google. No way to know if a lawyer/solicitor could be trusted. Daunting situation.

Still a good read. This Lizzy is an innocent, a naive young lady who has absolutely no idea how unsafe her world I’d. How could she? From a rural, safe, no worry life and now she is London. She lives with someone nice but she feels like she is in a cage...and she hates it. I worry for her ignorance.

So far this is a very fun read. No spoilers from me but it seems to be a winner from the author
