The reveal of the negative effects of having Doc Manhattan around is very good, but even better is the consequences of not having him around. Just a wonderfully written character.

Chapter 2
Feels foolish to reiterate but the art, storytelling, and world-building is outstanding. I also live for the excerpts from Nite Owls book, there is just such great prose to them. I love the gritty reality of it all and how similar to our own world it feels. I have often heard that The Boys is peoples go-to for how superheroes would be in our world, but this feels more in line.
