I don’t get it yet. The author defined gender identity as the name (boy, girl, man, woman) and the pronouns assigned to certain sexes. Like what? If that were the case, then someone being trans would mean that all they wanted to change were their labels.

I'm reading this pretty slowly, but I'm continuously impressed by Miquel's writing and diction. He has a great way of expressing things that I've long felt/thought but haven't been able to put into words. Makes me wish I spoke enough Spanish to be able to read the original.
