Ich mochte auch diese frisch für mich entdeckte Reihe. Die Protagonistin ist trotz aller ihrer Erlebnisse und neuen Erkenntnisse wirklich stark und setzt sich für die "Menschen" ein, die ihr etwas bedeuten. Ich finde die Story echt klasse, vor allem, dass hier nicht so a-typische Monster ausgewählt worden. Leider endet das Buch mit einem echt bösen Cliffhanger. Hier hätte ich so gerne sofort Band 2! Macht süchtig!

This book isn’t going anywhere. Just a lame excuse to get ppl to buy the next book. Each book in a series must have a PLOT. So far, this one has an introduction.

Prime example of how her black and white thinking diminishes her power. She has PEOPLE SHE CAN CONSULT and she tells them to leave her alone. 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

You’d think after getting in trouble THREE TIMES during class wiyld nake her SHUT UP AND PAY ATTENTION. They can contknue their coversation after class now that they’re talking! Annoying.

Beat hasn’t shifted in 10 years? Seems unnecessary and impossible.

Mrs. Lee is not a realistic teacher unless Liam’s supernatural powers include persuasion. Smh 🙄

“Finn ate humans.” Okay now this girl is annoying me. She’s taking what ppl tell her and just obeying. She doesn’t have to do anything. She doesn’t have a duty to do anything. Os she even questioning this book? Her friends should make her do so and yet, she’s jumping to conclusions without a second thought. Smh.

#1 to whom did she swear?
#2 when did she swear? and
#3 to whom is she accountable for how she lives her life?
ANSWER: No one, never and no one. Drama resolved!

Since she dropped AP Bio, does that mean she no longer has Liam as a lab partner? No mention made of losing that friendship connection.

Alivia is taking AP Biology as a sophomore? seems *really* advanced. So she’s dropping it to focus on demon slaying. Okay, but what is she going to do in the future? She can’t feed herself by demon slaying. I’m also a bit annoyed that Aunt Bea hasn’t tried to prepare Alivia for a future career. Alivia a sophomore. If she needs to set herself on a particular course, now is the time to discuss it. Maybe Karate master?

Really? That's all it would take? Three whole blank pages? *eyes roll* This has been a rather taxing read up to this point.
