I continue to be entranced by the history of Queen & Freddie Mercury.
Retrospectives are interesting. At the time life is fraught but looking back we can see the unfolding. I find peace in this much as sadness. Freddie’s fate is well known so as the story goes is a tension underlying — a voyeur to tragedy.
Freddie lived the questions. He continued on unknown paths toward answers I hope he felt before he died

Currently obsessed with Freddie. Like he’s LIVING nonstop in my mind.
Queen is truly an iconic band & its frontman is an enigma — mysterious + complex. He was able to have a confidence/presence despite any timidness & KNEW he was destined for something & didn’t stop.
I feel deeply connected to his story
So far I like how this book chronicles his life alongside contradictory perspectives about his life

Interesting read, really highlights the nuances in Freddie"s character and at times made me not like him as much! Great book though

since i was 11 and my dad exclusively played classic rock radio on the way to school, queen has been a staple for me. but lately, for whatever reason, i’ve been feeling so sentimental and connected to the band, specifically freddie. maybe because he presented himself as a flamboyant yet lovable oddball to hide his insecurities, as i often do. whatever the reason, what a beautiful, complex soul, taken far too soon.
