The Doctor. Ok Im mear the end and now I can say with certainty that the author rushes all her endings, and really really dwells on the state of mind she fancied as the emotional center. Has made this book feel really monotonous

Kanda’s Eyebrows. This one has a plot twist that serves the theme well

The Awaiter. There was an interesting passage about the city, which was one shining moment in an incredibly dull sequence

How A Lad Found His Uncle and Learned A Lesson. Maybe I should just DNF this

Within These Walls. :/

Mens Rights. This story was handled with just as much finesse as youd assume from a title like this! Meaning, barely any.

The Final Secret of Inmate Black Tiger. Ugh this one is so short yet so tedious

The Attendant. Thinks about the alienation of labor, by showing the the dehumanizing feeling of having a routine function as a service worker compared to the physically-taxing but dynamic life of farming. Mmmmm it was interesting

Wood Children. Huuuuuuuuh????

Arid Dreams. I don’t know about all that!

Only those completely ruined by exhaustion would want to sit still and not even move a finger. I would find no joy in such immobility unless my muscles burned with pain and my legs couldn’t take another step. I’ve sat immobile for so long; I’ve sat in misery for too long, and I don’t want to sit any longer. My heart is still beating, and I want to completely wear myself out—completely, not moderately or momentarily.
