These are really enjoyable stories focused on the Latino experience in California.

Finally…a book my students and I both hate for the same reasons. It’s been fun to enjoy the author’s writing, which is good, but then mutually burn the plot, which we all universally hate. Great opportunity to brainstorm alternate endings.

Reading for my school’s reading challenge. I like that it’s short stories. Very accessible for kids with shorter attention spans.
