I don’t usually like eye contact...But I can’t really look away. Up close, they’re shot through with glimmering threads of silver. Like spiderwebs I could get trapped in.

I push him back. “Were you trying to hypnotize me?”
He grins and runs his tongue from the point of one fang to another. “No. You seemed to be doing that all by yourself.”
I swear my face could go supernova, it’s so hot.
