Status Updates From Give the Dark My Love

Grey asks Nedra to destroy the crucible she created too, and she declines, going into the night with her Army of Revenants and white hair.

Gov Adelaide has been the true Necromancer in power. She loses Nedra’s favor, and Nedra manages to capture the Welleborne crucible she’s been using and sets all her revenants free, cracking the crucible and destroying it, leaving Nedra with the only working Necromancer crucible. She goes to kill Adelaide.

Grey is arrested as well, but taken to the Governor’s mansion. Gov Adeline has the plague and Ostrum has been working on necromancy for her, but no luck. She has no successor, and the emperor will dismantle the government of Lunar Island. The plague is necromancy gone wrong, items finally confirmed.

School is back open, and she gets to Master Ostrum just in time to see him arrested for necromancy as he hides her in his secret lab. Grey finds her and he tries to talk her out of necromancy. She takes the crucibles and gets back to the hospital here Ernesta was left with 29 other hopeless cases, and finds her, right as she’s the last to die. Nedra does necromancy, but raises all the bodies as revenants.

The school closes, and Nedra goes home, only to discover her dad has the plague, and dies, and they get quarantined by the village. Her dies of it, and then Ernest’s gets it. Nedra tries necromancy on her parents’ bodies to cure Ernesta, and creates an Iron crucible. They escape to a ferry and it takes them to a hospital. Nedra is separated from Ernesta, she’s considered too far gone.

Ostrum is creeping me out now

Ostrum has suspected this plague is alchemical, and due to necromancy, and that’s because Welleborne was his great great grandfather, who cut off his wife’s hand to create an iron/necromantic crucible, and tried to burn his son to ash to create another one, but the son got away.

Nedra tries to use some necromancy to help Dilada, but it’s too late. Ostrum confronts her about using it, and then tells her he suspected the plague is necromancy, not a disease. Nedra goes home, to find a drunk Tomas waiting, who tries to assault her, but Grey intervenes. She invites him upstairs, but doesn’t initially invite him to bed, then she does later.

She and Grey kissed!!! Next chapter, she goes into a factory where the infected are and sees her friend Dilada, who has an infected hand. A butcher does the surgery while Nedra contains the pain.

Nedra has a tough day at the hospital and is attacked by a patient, finding out a patient she lied had the green film on her eyes. She goes to the party with Grey, and she insists he shouldn’t care what people think.

Ostrum explains to Nedra that he thinks she plague was started by necromancy, an illegal magic. He’s woke. Grey gets a “acceptable” on a paper by Ostrum and Tomas tells him that his father Grey’s father, and then invites him to a party. He ends up asking Nedra to go to it. This sounds like trouble.

They volunteer in the hospitals and Nedra gets into it. After a beautiful festival the wealthy students just use to get plastered, Grey sees the importance of us g religion to better yourself with Nedra, who shows him. Tomas confronts him as they get home and wants to go drunk, but hints at rebelling against the government. He’s an ass.

There is a large amount of prejudice against poor people saying they’re not hygienic and that’s why they get it. Nedra is faced with that lingering around her. I’m really enjoying this. It’s got walking dead or zombies as a result of this plague.

Nedra immigrants from the north to the lunar island to become an alchemical healer. The north is considered backwards and behind, so she faces a lot of prejudice there. Master Ostrum gives her private lesson lessons, and her partner is Grey. There’s a lot of chemistry between them. There’s also a wasting disease which is a plague. It seems to affect poor people.
