These two chapters were great! Piper wrote about headship/submission and explained how these roles existed pre-fall. He writes that sin did not introduce the idea of headship/submission in marriage — it distorted and ruined the beauty of the roles that already existed because of the eternal covenant of Christ & His bride. Such a needed reminder for us in a culture that rejects the ideas of roles in marriage!
