Status Updates From The Haunting of Maddy Clare

I’ve loved every book I’ve read so far by this author. I really hope this redeems itself in the last 20%.
So far it’s annoyingly melodramatic. The mystery was fun but too dragged out and I’m pretty sure I’ve figured it out. The characters are pretty silly and annoying.
It’s like she wrote a harlequin romance but then decided to try and turn it into a thriller/suspense.
