There's a new character introduced in this book, Samar Dev, that I really like.
There have been moments earlier in the series that introduced elements of SciFi to this Fantasy, but this book really delves into it in greater detail. This witch feels like a nexus between those threads and I love how her character is written. I hope she plays a significant role going forward as she's one of my favorite characters.
