coincidentally book club is having me read frankenstein and owen meany within a few weeks of each other, feeling like i’m back in mrs. whinnem’s class 🫶🏼

I'm trying so hard to persevere with this book as people say it's great. But christ alive, why is there incest?? And why does the narrator spend so much time talking about his mum's boobs??? It's icky.
