The Man with the Cough - pointless. What even happened?

A Strange Night - eerie
The Tragedy in the Train - really is convoluted, indeed. I think they should have written it as a longer story, maybe even a novel, and left you wondering more.

Even though almost all of these stories are from the late 1800s or early 1900s many of them are quite good. And I say that as someone who doesn't usually enjoy older works.

the publication date of these stories range about 100 years. I'm interested in "moving spirits" that is those on roads, canals, railways etc vs stationary ones in houses and buildings. This anthology has historical info with it, both on railways and on ghost stories with that as a theme - not just Dickens!!!
