Dialogue is great, the characters all come alive. I find it funny a lot of times. So many characters, the story just keeps unfolding.

guppy was not the person i’d expect to be dropping these bombshells … and he’s kind of giving stalker ngl.

lowk i kinda called the parent situation but i hadn’t guessed that lady dedlock didn’t know about esther??? i had assumed she abandoned her so i have no clue what will happen next

not sure how involved the french maid is but wouldn’t be surprised if she’s got secrets

so there’s mr. jobling, who i assume will become some sort of spy now that he’s under krook’s (nemo’s) roof

smallweed, who is FIFTEEN and whose family sucks

mr. george? and a mysterious captain who is absolutely someone we’ve already met i guarantee it

and mr. bucket ofc. geez

love the bit with the cushions

day 5000 of reading this book. shoutout to the audiobook narrator for managing to create a different voice for all 87 characters (and counting)
