“When you’re ready, huh? You’re either my boyfriend, or not my boyfriend. I can’t save myself for a guy who’ll probably never come around.”

Pancakes helped us when we were down & rewarded us for any significant or insignificant achievement. It was strawberry, peach, or cherry when life was good; blackberry, raspberry, or blueberry when drama ensued.
“I rarely eat blueberries, so I'll get blueberry pancakes”.
“Why?” Marlene asked.
“Now, every time I eat blueberry pancakes, I’ll think of my big breakup. I’ll be glad I chose a flavor I don’t like.”
