God the injustice and degradation of women makes me soooo mad

I'm taking my time with this book, and it is not disappointing. I absolutely love Emecheta's writing, I'm only just picking up any of her work. She was an incredible writer. I've caught myself laughing out loud way too many times, but I've really been made to think deeply about some things too. This won't be the last I read of her work for sure.

In some ways, the main character reminds me a lot about the main character from The Girl with the Louding voice by Abi Daré.
