Lowkey I hate this book and I can’t believe just HOW much biblical scholarship has treated it as a sort of quiet gospel of its own

this book may legitimately take me a month to read. making connections to frankenstein, 1950s housewives, etc etc…

Ok I skipped a chapter but it had nothing to do with what I’m working with rn, but now I’m grabbing for context cues which sucks

Just got through the intro, so far so good

The intro was so hard to read I got scared….but it’s picking up now I guess

It took me two months to read the introduction.

part iv of chapter 4 was a drag ngl dgshhrhf mostly because of my lack of interest and knowledge in the subject matter. but overall, ch 4 is my second favorite & the one i took the longest time getting through so far because the amount of times i had to close the book after reading a really painful beautiful thing and spend days trying not to think about it
