Status Updates From Glynda

‘The moment he entered her was for him a moment of both conquest & defeat. The longings of his body drove him onward in a frenzy of ravenous despair, but beneath his passions, Glynda could sense the wild, black anger that strained his powerful muscles, reminding him that his lust had made him, a once arrogant warrior, nothing more than her captive & her slave.’ ….Poor Guy. Philip, you’re such a fool. 😑 The depth of your idiocy & willingness to believe the worst of this poor woman is breathtaking. Guy is a slightly sadistic creep, but at least he doesn’t run hot/cold based on third party hearsay; he would’ve believed Glynda if she hadn’t lied to him, like, 30 times already. But she never once lied to you & you still won’t accept basic truths.

‘He was a tall, handsome man—incredibly handsome, Glynda thought, amazed. It had never occurred to her that an enemy could appear comely to her eyes. It would have been more appropriate if he had been old & ugly, his hooded eyes glinting w/ blood lust, his scarred lips pulled up in a mocking leer. Instead he was young, w/ strong, well-chiseled features & dark, fine hair blowing gently in the wind.’

‘He was only vaguely surprised when the copper strip moved so easily, encountering only scant resistance from the bones & muscles of the man’s neck. The man’s eyes widened for a moment in horror & pain. Philip stared into their depths w/ a sudden surge of exhilaration. He was only half-surprised to realize it was possible to feel a thrill of pleasure in killing.’ ….Hero got prison-raped. *fail horn* 🙈

First Glynda, clawing & scratching at him, even while her eyes begged him to take her, by force if necessary. And now Deborah, threatening her own life before she would allow herself to taste even a moment of the rapture he longed to give her.’

‘Only on the threshold did he turn to look at her again. When he did, despite all the strength of his determination, he very nearly gave into his feelings & rushed toward her, sweeping her into his arms. The tears of humiliation that coursed down her cheeks, now that her fierce Saxon pride had been broken at last, were both an accusation & an invitation.’ ….Classy, Philip.
