Apparently I love pain because I’m gonna sit through a reread of this great book knowing it ends on a massive cliffhanger and no sequel has come out in 3 years since it’s release

Yeah, I need a break. It's one thing to read about this kind of thing from an investigating LEO's perspective in a typical murder-mystery or missing person's case...quite another when it's the victim's POV.

I am definitely in an odd mood.

And this might just break me out of it.

See, I don't like horror movies & I rarely read horror at all. So I don't know why I picked this one to read now. And I certainly have no idea why I am enthralled with it. Given the violence, gore & gut-wrenching fear here (w/an MC that is inappropriately aroused by it) I think I'll have reached my limit - @ least for the rest of the month!

Ethan should not be so enamored by this man lapping up his come, not when Ethan highly suspects this man and his family may very well be cannibals.
