kinda bored- fighting and war is not my cup of tea but i’m truly enjoying the homeric and emily wilson styles. and you guys know at this point i like reading just to be in the know sometimes 🫡

Book 12: The Trojans breach the Greek wall after fierce fighting, with Hector leading the assault despite ominous signs. Book 13: While Zeus looks away, Poseidon secretly encourages the Greeks, who rally under leaders such as Ajax and resist the Trojan advance in intense fighting by the ships.

officially re-reading the iliad and the odyssey, those two which gave me so much pain in middle school at the time i learnt latin... hope it'll be better than what i thought at the time, since i'm choosing to read it and not "forced to" :)
