Every review of this book is like “Vonnegut that bastard, his humor, he’s so funny!” He is dead serious.

Enjoying it more now- the satire is just as heavy as it has been throughout but the twists are adding to the story. I did not expect the narrator to become the leader of the island and am curious as to where it goes next. All the islanders being Bokonists and the entire constructed feud between the past leaders to emphasise the religion was also a crazy revelation. Pretty interesting story.

Hmmm I was reading this book on vacation and now I seem to have lost it. It was getting so good to. I must find it!

Still reading- I have to admit it’s taking a bit of effort to continue reading this book though I don’t really know why. It’s not bad in any sense, it just hasn’t properly “picked up” in a way, I can tell it’s building up towards something though as it’s pumping through origin stories. Excited to see if all this build up pays off
