The doubt is nothing but the existence of the problematic. The first unproblematic truth would be that everything, except this truth, is problematic. We will have an occasion to see the positive sense these words have.

in his interpretation of that path or method, namely, his assigning of a
role to the idea of substance therein, as he did when he applied it, as a
matter of course, to the “ego.” Even then, and adopting the most favorable formulation of it (which I just advanced), the original idealist

A. Analytic (or by way of division), [and]
B. Synthetic (or by way of composition)—synthetic implication or complication

The unproblematic or the truth—àlétheia: this is the name given to the
first philosophies.9
The unproblematic will have to be an ultimate and comprehensive truth:10 it will have to be ultimate, that is to say, a truth that does not require or presuppose any other in order to be a truth itself, and it will have to be comprehensive, that is to say, a truth the value of whic is not left indeterminate.

The first proposition of any science thus presupposes the general intention of the science in question. (For example, mathematics speaks of
numbers, while a practical man speaks of numbered things, [and this provokes] a misunderstanding of the mathematician on the part of the latter.
The same obtains in art: every work of art is made from the standpoint of
a given convention or intentional presupposition.

Realism v. Idealism

. Life is absolute positing [posición]. However, this must not be construed as if the absolute positing of life were a philosophical outcome.
If that were the case, as any fact or positum8 considered as such, it
would be relative. A fact or positum can be radical at best, never absolute. Life is absolute positing, and it is so not from a philosophical
[point of view], but in itself, by nature.

Life is valid for itself—it is definitive, it is that which is definitive. It is
the radical “reality” not just for philosophy; rather, it consists in being
the absolute standpoint, since everything in it is absolute. That which
someone else believes is for me something relative to him or her, but
what I believe is absolute

To summarize: philosophy, or absolute knowledge, is to be, of necessity, the intuitive grasp of life’s self-articulation. But if so, philosophy, at its metaphysical or foundational level, would consist in carrying
out the categorial analysis of life.
