Thomas always entertains with a less than scholarly, but lit scene that gives structure to a vast lecture of just how serene life is. As he translucently follows the end of each paragraph with structured sentiment.
He gives me confidence in the ways in which I cannot see, and he bounds me again to the refuge we have in the ferment of all organisms around us.

Just started this compilation of essays I forgot how elegant of a writer Thomas was.
