He writes about Morrie and Tuesdays with Morrie, his other autobiographical book that is also about another person's life and death

Tuesdays with Morrie was a christmas gift from the thrift store in 2015 and got me back into reading after several dry years

Knowing this story, and knowing they couldn't have kids makes the 5 people you meet in heaven so much more meaningful with the main character not able to have kids and (spoiler for 5 people you meet in heaven) being surrounded by kids in their heaven

When he goes to the orphanage, this is his image of heaven, surrounded by children 😭😭 i am not ok

" there are many kinds of selfishness in the world, but the most selfish is hoarding time, because none of us know how much we have, and it is an affront to God to assume there will be more"

I get what he's saying and yes it is bad, but it's much worse, much more harmful, much more suffering in the world, for rich and privileged to hoard wealth when people are in such need, make laws and spend money for more money
