She doesn’t believe in a future for them but she’s quick her job (that he didn’t like) for him and has moved in with him after seeing each other for a short amount of time??? Make it make sense

I love how devoted Jack is to Alexis but her insecurity about their relationship is getting on my nerves. She has a really negative impression of herself and love in general, which might be due to her personal background. Her father left when her mother got sick and her sister went to college out of state—leaving her by herself. The fact that Jack was a player before he met Alexis also contributed to this negativity.

Ayyy no way we got the “I take a moment to look at myself in the mirror to describe to you my features and tell you I am average when I am drop dead gorgeous” moment— I thought we quit that trope back in Wattpad.

Also, why is it best friend that has to drag the heroine to a social engagement? Go by yourself, you codependent plot device.

This is a slow read. There’s a lot of telling and the format is weird, which makes the read disjointed.

I am at 58%. I really like the story EXCEPT the main female after months with main male and moving in with him and realizing she loves him says stupid stuff like “"It's not like he's some ordinary guy who doesn't have very many options, and I'm the best out of the bunch.  With Jack, I'm at the bottom of the bunch, and he has so many options.  Do you get what I'm trying to say?"
I’m about to not finish.

Everything was going so well with this book, I was loving it until I reached 88% of the book. The part where Alexis receives the call from the crazy woman and runs to her friend’s apartment to “save” her is so ridiculous that’s is annoying! It makes the h look stupid and the writer short of imagination.
