Poor, poor Oliver! Such injustice, really makes you think about what Dickens was saying about the society in which he lived! I dare say it still has a lot to say for today! I pray Oliver turns out well!

Após ser espancado e humilhado por todos pela “tentativa de assassinato” do ajudante (e da senhora e da criada também claro) se cria dentro do Oliver um orgulho que o impede de chorar na frente do seus agressores e o impele a fugir.
