Just read To His Coy Mistress, by Andrew Marvell. I was amazed that it reminded me of Les Liaisons dangereuses by Pierre Choderlos de Laclos. Also The Catcher in The Rye where Holden talks about sex and playing them like a fiddle...and the whole thing is about war.
