What is it with MCs who are not cops but feel the need to investigate a murder they're only tangentially involved in? You see/hear something very suspicious. Do you go to the cops or do something potentially illegal and dangerous to find out more? Why, it's the second option of course!

This story is a big hot mess...blech!

I'm not that far into the story, and I'm sure that once I type this something will come up and prove me wrong, but OMG I do so love it when an author gets the look, feel, atmosphere and details correct about Vegas. The street names are correct, the areas described so well I can practically see the buildings, the locations (even if given fake names) completely recognizable...hard to do for off-strip settings!!

I sort of just want to say "fuck it!", and give up on this book. I am really disappointed because I thought that this book might be a fun read when I started it. So far, it isn't. I am just really fucking MAD because Brandon calls Nick a lot of disrespectful names but somehow Nick ends up being the one apologising?! I sort of just feel like Brandon is guilt-tripping Nick.

So few pages left to read and an action packed thrilling resolution .... and I have to work. Suck !! Life is tough.

It's not bad, but I'm loosing interest in the book. Endearment "Nicky" is so annoying and can't say I'm a fan of Brandon. I get it, you are a closeted gay man but that doesn't mean you have an excuse to be a jerk.
