When we see truth as a set of ideas, then religion becomes a set of doctrines. However, from the point of view of person-truth, faith is much more than a belief in ideas. We have faith in God, the same way we are faithful to our spouses: by making and keeping sacred covenants. The focus of our faith changes from a set of doctrine to our relationship with the truth made flesh (Christ).
