I e joyed the first 20% enough that I’ll be continuing on after I finish all of the books. It’s still a semifinalist contender for me.

Si l'univers est très intéressant, je n'arrive pas à accrocher aux personnages, qui sont très en surface. Je continue presque péniblement en espérant trouver l'étincelle que j'attends.

If the world-building is great, I can't get to like the characters, whom are very flat. I keep reading in the hope of finding the spark I am waiting for.
