"...the truths--that have the most consistently attracted me for most of my life....are the following.
First, humanity is ultimately the product of biological evolution.
Second, the diversity of life is the cradle and greatest natural heritage of the human species.
And third, philosophy and religion make a little sense without taking into account the first two."

This is a little too dense for a graphic novel, I think. I have a degree in science and I feel like a lot of this is even difficult for me to understand, a lot of times because the wording is very clunky. I think the graphic novel medium could bring a lot of different people into the science world, but I don't think this is a good gateway book into science/nonfiction.
Also the font is too small and hard to read!!

This book is dragging on a bit. I kinda want it to be over. I thought it'd be a quick read because it's a graphic autobiography, but it's definitely a bit dense.

"New knowledge is not science until it is made social."
I really love the last 10 pages of the book where he's talking about evolutionary theory and the ways that he was a part of and also knew people who were so famous and modern science. To think that he's over here shit-talking the guy that discovered DNA structure is kind of iconic. I know it's definitely a little bit of Harvard hierarchy, but very interesting!

Page 127 was my favorite. I wish it was more educational vs. memoir.

I'm just so happy to find a graphic novel talking about ecology internships in college. It's very nostalgic for me if I had an ecology internship in college. Feels right.
