Funny, we scoured one of our charity booksales yesterday. I found this Howard Engel series volume I'm presently reading, in hardcover! Very handy, not only because I adore Howard as one of my top Canadian authors and appreciate his hardcovers. My softcover needs glueing, slated after reading it. However I had to hold loose sections so they don't tumble out. How timely to switch to a hardcover and read with ease!

Whatever Benny Cooperman is doing, you can count on Howard Engel's superb creativity and writing to paint colourful personalities that make every action or adventure a pleasure to read. Keeping everything Canadian is an exceptionally special touch. We are tired of everything taking place in England or the United States. Canadian cities, towns, customs, and law enforcement are well worth visiting!

I love Howard Engel, along with the pleasurable fact that I can envision his town's environs. I took in Niagara Falls and its memorable details twice. It is always nice and high time to feature Canadian cities and settings. When they are those you can personally picture, like the general Niagara Escarpment region, what an extra thrill. Howard's superb and comic writing are impressive, as is his honourable sleuth.
