Wonderful world with an outlandish plot. It is a bit unclear how mechanics work in the game, but this is an enjoyable litRPG so far

"Who's a good boy?" Lol. It's the endgame as team USA faces the undead hordes of Skull Keep, and I feel somewhat embarrassed I'm having this much fun. There couldn't be more daylight between this story and 2034.

Ep. 8 starts with a nice revelation about the new character from the China team from last ep's excellent Underworld tale. I can't help being drawn in, y'all. The ongoing episode structure--a vignette from RL followed by adventures in Alternis--is yielding dividends in the character development department, and a plot device I've used before in my own RPGs.

Chap 5, Minglegrass Wood. Yes, it's full-on LitRPG, so the plot is contrived, and there's a stat-based focus on and vocabulary from role-playing computer games. You might even say the plot is a bit grindy. But it is oddly compelling.

Glau (Firefly, Sarah Connor Chronicles) is a surprisingly good narrator! The plot is contrived, but at least I'm catching most of the CRPG refs.

the fucking south africans are chainmail wearing and polearm wielding stereotypes. Every non-american character feels like they are described as a stereotype in this. Liked the stereo hated the racial stereotyping

This is actually pretty darn good - surprisingly so considering I'm not a gamer at all. Summer Glau (Firefly's 'River') does a great job at managing the different voices and the theme music and audio by Amanda Rose Smith just knock your socks off. 5 STARS
