Just finished the third chapter and I’m not really enjoying this. I’m basically reading someone’s journal and I find that someone repulsive. In some ways, this is like On Earth We’re Briefly Gorgeous in that it’s chronicling something that’s deeply personal. But the tone is almost flippant and I simply can’t relate to this woman-child at all. She’s no different than the MC in The Girl On the Train!

Just finished the first chapter. And boy, the MC, who is also the author since this is autobiographical, is going through a lot. Depression, eating disorders, anxiety….and that’s just a few. This is monologue heavy unlike most of the manga I’ve read and the artwork is all dramatic facial expressions shaded in pinks and whites. Let’s see how this goes!
