there's something so incredibly comforting reading/hearing people talk about their creative process, not in an existential sense, not in a 'here's writing advice!!' kinda way, but just 'so uh i think about the image of a storm a lot. so here's a storm again!' or 'we're working in a loud building and i wanted to capture those sounds so i put up microphones in the bathroom which was inconvenient for everyone!'
