this book is incredible so far!! i feel like i've discovered a hidden treasure here

this is so great! daphne du mauriers is like im doing a locked room mystery, a gothic tale of woe and a historical romance feat the worst guy of all time who's crimes include but are not limited to: beating his wife, illegally ceasing her assets, hating his gay son richard, committing crimes against humanity in ireland and also being ginger. george villiers 1st duke of buckingham makes a cameo.
