Status Updates From Ration

I really want to like this book. And while I'm reading it, it's hard to put down. But it's exceptionally depressing, and thus far there is no foreseeable hope. Once I put it down, it takes great effort to pick it up again because of how dark and depressing it is.

I'm setting this one aside. DNF at 35%. It's well written but it's so bleak and I can't find a character to root for. It's just people doing bad things to survive in a terrible dystopian world. I may return to it when my reading mood changes.
