I'm also disappointed in the two chapters on Masculinity and Femininity having only two pages each to talk about the women & men who portray more of those social traits in opposition to society's standards for their "gender" 😔

a blatant missed opportunity in a book about gender that mentions the #MeToo movement and how men who came out with their SA stories at the time as well were treated

We can't know which aspects of our gender are down to nature or nurture, but even if we could tease these things apart, it shouldn't affect how we treat people." (46)
