already enjoying this so much more than i thought. originally i found it bc of the movie i saw on letterbox'd and didn't realize it was a book. going to read this then watch the film!

Wait this is so peculiar to see that the father figure does not wish to send off his daughter to an asylum and is much more doubtful and regretful than the mother (from what I’ve read to far) it’s kind of nice. The last couple books that has mention women and asylum had meant nothing to the male figure of that woman’s life.
