He love the lolish traditions of the rosary, confession, etc., but he was also all about religious tolerance and working with other religions. Lots of drama came from John Paul II, like kissing the Quran and putting Buddha on top of a tabernacle in Rome. These open dialogues with other religions contradict church teaching.
