Look, I'm a fan of biography. But I am just not a fan of Kaplan's writing. His word choice is egregious at times and the information he includes is a...choice. And everything feels so repetitive and stuffy.
I can only handle reading 40 pages of it at a time because then I need to go scrape my brain with a cheese grater.
His writing just isn't compelling.
I have learned a bit, so there is that I guess.
